Local Cambridge care home, Cottenham Court, is celebrating its £350,000 refurbishment thanks to Bupa, by inviting the local community to enjoy afternoon tea with residents and relatives on Wednesday 18 June 2008 and Wednesday 2 July 2008.
Date: Wednesday 18 June 2008 and Wednesday 2 July 2008
Time: 2pm until 4pm
Venue: Bupa Cottenham Court Residential and Nursing Home, High Street, Cottenham, Cambridge, CB4 8SS
Occasion: Afternoon tea to celebrate the refurbishment of the care home following investment by Bupa.
Cottenham Court’s manager, Julie Prevett, says residents and staff are really delighted with the home’s makeover, which includes the very latest entertainment technology, such as flat screen TVs with a full Sky package in the refurbished dining room and communal lounges, while bedrooms at the home all have en-suite facilities, with new carpets, curtains and furniture added.
Home manager Julie Prevett commented: "We’ve been excited about the refurbishment for some time and now that it is complete, we are proud of the transformation and all the benefits the development gives to our residents. With summer here we are also looking forward to meeting the local community and enjoying an afternoon tea outside in the sensory garden with our residents."
The refurbishment of Cottenham Court is part of Bupa’s drive to improve standards in the care home sector for older people.
