Grease film star finds Bupa International ‘shapes up’ to her needs

Grease film star Olivia Newton-John found Bupa was “the one that she wanted” when it came to providing travel insurance on a recent 3-week charity fundraiser.
The actress and singer enlisted the help of an all-star cast including singers Sir Cliff Richard and Dannii Minogue, actress Joan Rivers and Australian Olympic swimming champion Ian Thorpe, to trek along the Great Wall of China to raise money for cancer care.
Bupa International’s office in Copenhagen, together with one of its main brokers, World Nomads, supported her efforts by providing free travel insurance.
Ed Watling, sales manager UK and Western Europe, Bupa International, said: “We were delighted to support Olivia and her fellow walkers, providing them with peace of mind that if anyone was injured or taken ill during the walk, their medical treatment would have been fully covered.”
All the walkers were insured under a single policy that Bupa International provides for businesses enabling them to cover any of their employees through a joint scheme.
The 228-kilometre walk over 21 days was organised to help Olivia establish a AU$140 million (£65 million) cancer treatment and research centre in Melbourne, home to Bupa Australia’s main office – they have so far raised over AU$2 million.
Olivia Newton-John added: “I would like to thank Bupa International and WorldNomads.com for their support to the project.”
