Bupa Care Services appoints new director for London
25 September 2008
Bupa Care Services has appointed Lorna Rose as director for London, with responsibility for the company’s 25 care homes in the UK’s largest city.
Lorna, who joined Bupa in 1997, has over a decade’s experience of the UK care homes market. She has an in-depth understanding of the day-to-day challenges faced by care home managers, having been one herself, before being promoted to Bupa’s South East regional management team, where she held the positions of regional manager and more recently, deputy regional director.
The role of director for London is a new position for Bupa Care Services. It has been created to allow Bupa to focus on England’s capital city, which has an increasingly ageing population and rising demand for care services. Lorna will report to Oliver Thomas, Bupa’s South East Regional Director.
Commenting on her new role, Lorna explained: "My aim is to make Bupa the care services provider of choice in the London area and I will be working closely with local authorities and primary care trusts to ensure our care homes respond to the evolving needs of older people in London today and in the years ahead."
Oliver Thomas, regional director for the South East, said: "Lorna brings to her new role a wealth of experience and a track record of success within Bupa Care Services. We welcome her to her new role and know that she will lead our team in London to further success."
The new appointment is part of Bupa’s on-going commitment to providing and maintaining excellent standards of care services in the UK.
