Gazebos in the formal gardens of 17th Century Ham House in London are being given a loving lick of paint by volunteers from Bupa. The challenge at the National Trust owned tourist attraction was organised through Bupa’s Community Connections with the help of Surrey Cares volunteering organisation.
Jenni Wilson, the gazebo project leader, and Bupa employee says: “The Actuarial department are looking forward to supporting the National Trust in maintaining and renovating the grounds at Ham House. Members of the team are based in both Staines and Manchester so the challenge will provide an ideal opportunity for employees from both locations to learn more about one another whilst supporting a worthwhile local cause. ”
The volunteers will spend time painting a row of gazebos and laying wooden edging around the lawn at the rear of the house, and have donated the wood and painting materials as well as their time.
